"Without the grant, we would not be able to run a pilot program this year which was instrumental to continue our relations with SUT after the pandemic disrupted our educational travel activities. Additionally, without this grant, we would not be able to send another faculty member to develop relations with SUT faculty as well as train to run the program in the future. With two faculty members who can run the program, we feel strongly that the FNP Thailand Program will remain a sustainable program."
"The impacts of the grant are manifold: first and foremost, the financial support has made possible the participation of students who would not have been able to travel otherwise. Increased access also made for a more diverse cohort (in every possible indicator), offering meaningful multicultural peer learning. Second, and equally important, this opportunity has enabled us to compensate our local partners for their generosity and expertise. This support is critical to creating more equitable partnerships and sustaining long-term collaborations. I can not thank you more for making this possible. So grateful!"
"The New VP Faculty-Led Education Abroad Program Grant was instrumental to the success of this program. By injecting an additional stream of funding—effectively doubling what we had—we brought this experience to the next level. This included purchasing return airfares, renting a larger and safer vehicle, providing museum visits and heritage tours, enhancing equipment and supplies, and defraying rising accommodation and food costs. Securing this grant meant students only covered tuition—everything else was funded by U-M. The grant's positive impact was felt by all, relieving budget stress and allowing us to focus on delivering an unforgettable educational experience."
