Student Perspective: Kayla in Geneva

“Study abroad was incredibly amazing for me.

Beforehand, I’ve never had the opportunity to travel abroad and I’ve always known it was something I needed and really wanted to do. Being in Switzerland was so special and I absolutely adored the country. I really enjoyed my classes and learning French was fun. I made many friends that I will most definitely keep in touch with, as we shared such special moments together.

My favorite experience was camping in Interlaken and then hiking up a mountain for 6 hours! The views from the Swiss Alps are magical and I felt like I was in a fairytale, granted a physically laborious one. I would not have changed anything about it because I enjoyed every little part of the experience.

The advice I would give to others is to appreciate the opportunity and enjoy the small things too. Even learning and taking classes is a special opportunity, rather than a barrier to being able to travel more during your trip.”
