My study abroad experience was crucial to my personal growth and development as an individual. I was able to fully immerse myself in an environment where I didn’t know the language, many other students, and/or the area in which I was living. Every day was an adventure, learning something new, meeting someone, and/or seeing new sights. Being able to try the local cuisine, become friends with my peers who were from all around the world, and travel on school-organized trips within Czechia were all highlights of my time abroad.
Additionally, as someone interested in both international business and sustainability, I was able to take several business sustainability courses which brought in Czech business leaders to talk about the country’s progress in the field. Supplementing my Ross education with experiences abroad helped me develop a global perspective on many different trends, issues, and decisions. I recommend studying abroad to everyone able – regardless of where and term length.
