Funded through the Vice Provost for Engaged Learning’s Global Engagement Strategic Plan, the Education Abroad Resource Grant program launched in 2023 to encourage collaborative projects that strengthened U-M infrastructure and resources supporting education abroad.
The program offered grants of up to $15,000 for projects designed to help U-M units, faculty, and staff enhance support for undergraduate and graduate education abroad through shared resources, infrastructure, or program models. For the purposes of the program, education abroad included U-M-sponsored programs for academic credit, as well as non-credit opportunities such as research, internships, clinical experiences, and service learning.
