The Global Engagement Go Blue, Go Abroad Workshop and Scholarship Program is designed specifically for first-year undergraduate students on the Ann Arbor campus, including first-year transfer students. This three-part series introduces students to the value of international education and provides guidance on how to explore study abroad opportunities through M-Compass, identify the right program, and understand how financial aid can support their experience abroad. Participants will also gain valuable insights and firsthand perspectives from U-M students who have previously studied abroad, helping them envision what a global experience could look like for themselves.
Students who attend all three sessions and complete the required assignments will receive a $1,000 study abroad scholarship, which can be applied to any eligible program during their time at U-M.
