The Education Abroad Resource Grant program aims to encourage collaborative projects that build U-M infrastructure and resources to support education abroad. Grants of up to $15,000 each will be awarded to proposals that help U-M units, faculty, and staff elevate undergraduate and/or graduate student study abroad support through shared resources, infrastructure, or program models. Proposals will be accepted twice a year. The Global Engagement Team will identify certain topics or areas as high priority.
Proposals for the current cycle should focus on:
Post-experience resources, support, and/or reflections for education abroad returnees: resources to help students integrate their experiences and maximize the benefits of their time abroad
Eligibility Criteria:
Applicant must be a faculty or staff member employed at U-M Ann Arbor, Flint or Dearborn
Collaborators from at least 3 campuses/schools/colleges required, with at least one collaborator from Ann Arbor
Unit-level approval of the proposal must be provided
25% cost sharing from home departments of project team members (staff time does not count as cost-share)
A complete application consists of a questionnaire, statement of purpose, budget, and letter of support.
