Education Abroad Resource Grant

Education Abroad Resource Grant

The Education Abroad Resource Grant program aims to encourage collaborative projects that build U-M infrastructure and resources to support education abroad. Grants of up to $15,000 each will be awarded to proposals that help U-M units, faculty, and staff elevate undergraduate and/or graduate student study abroad support through shared resources, infrastructure, or program models. Proposals will be accepted twice a year. The Global Engagement Team will identify certain topics or areas as high priority.

The focus for this grant cycle is open—any proposals advancing shared resources for education abroad are encouraged.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Applicant must be a faculty or staff member employed at U-M Ann Arbor, Flint or Dearborn
  • Collaborators from at least 3 campuses/schools/colleges required, with at least one collaborator from Ann Arbor
  • Unit-level approval of the proposal must be provided
  • 25% cost sharing from home departments of project team members (staff time does not count as cost-share)

A complete application consists of a questionnaire, statement of purpose, budget, and letter of support.

Applications will close on July 15, 2026. APPLY NOW!
