Many units across the University of Michigan contribute to the university’s international engagement through education abroad, international student and scholar support, international partnerships, international and area studies, international philanthropy and alumni engagement, and more.
For education abroad, the decentralized structure of the University of Michigan allows for many U-M Ann Arbor units, as well as U-M campuses, to offer education abroad programs and advising for students seeking international experiences. These units either have an office dedicated to supporting education abroad activities, or staff members whose role is dedicated to supporting education abroad activities.
