Elyse Leonard says she is looking forward to growing as a researcher and learning more about Norwegian culture as she spends the summer working in Oslo.

When Kate Saetang looks out the window of her Geneva, Switzerland, apartment, she sees the French Alps in one direction and Lake Geneva in another.

Both University of Michigan students will be writing about their thoughts and experiences as they complete internships made possible, in part, by support from U-M’s International Institute.

They are two of 47 students who were selected to receive Individual Fellowships from the International Institute for summer internships or research projects.
