The Nine-Countries Study of Early Cardiometabolic Risk Factors is a survey of school-age children and their parents from Central America and the Dominican Republic, conducted in collaboration with the Comprehensive Center for the Prevention of Chronic Diseases (CIIPEC) at INCAP, Guatemala. Through the Nine Countries Study we have established a large repository of data and biomarkers to characterize the population’s socioeconomic and nutritional status, body composition, food environment, physical activity, and exposure to environmental pollutants.
