Rainbow in Tibetan Buddhism

“This picture shows Tibetan monks drawing a Sand Mandala (Tibetan: དཀྱིལ་འཁོར།, Wylie: dkyil ‘khor, Chinese: 沙坛城) outside Ramoche Temple. I was very lucky to be able to observe the whole process of drawing the Sand Mandala because that day was an important religious event for the local Tibetan people. They gathered in the temple and prayed for good fortune for their family and themselves.”
