“It was a hot afternoon in Delhi and I spent two hours walking through the narrow alleys of Old Delhi. This woman suddenly came out of a home along one of the alleys, and I was able to capture this shot of her transporting kindling.”
Newhouse was one of 20 graduate students in the Global Impact internship program in the summer of 2013. The program is sponsored by the William Davidson Institute, a non-profit research and educational institute at the University of Michigan.
