“The head scientist at the space agency took us on a trip to the southern tip of Africa, and we stopped by these caves on our way home. When we were heading back to the car, we noticed that the tide had risen quite substantially. We stopped by this cave to drain out our shoes before heading back to the Land Rover. We took a moment to appreciate the vastness of the ocean beyond the cave. There is a sense of wonder, curiosity, and discovery that I take from my international experience.”
