Bacteria in Brazil
Chumbo,
Brazil
U-M alumnus Ethan Shirley shows Brazilian students a slideshow of bacteria in a class about water sanitation in the eastern town of Chumbo, on the edge of Pantanal, the world’s largest wetlands. Shirley is the co-founder of the Pantanal Partnership, a U-M-based student organization that conducts a series of basic engineering and water sanitation workshops in Brazilian schools.
