Walking in their shoes
Kyoto,
Japan
I had taken this photo after a small group of us were dressed up as Japanese Maiko, women who sang, danced and played instruments at feasts. I wanted to take a picture that would capture how we were dressed, but since it was just the four of us I had to think of a different way to present this. The kimonos were too pretty to not be seen side by side, so I had the four of us come together and take the photo of our bodies and feet. It is one of my favorite pictures and the kimonos look gorgeous against one another, with their different patterns and colors, and it continuously reminds me of the amount of effort put into such beautiful clothing, as well as wearing them.
