High
Colca Canyon,
Peru
This photo in Chile was taken by Ainash Childebayeva. PhD student in Anthropology and Toxicology. She said:
“The photo was taken during my trip to the Colca Canyon in Peru. The canyon is located at an altitude of 12,000 feet above sea level, and is considered to be one of the deepest canyons in the world. This photo is significant because it represents both my research, which is high-altitude adaptation, and my commitment to graduate student rights at the University of Michigan.”
