Recent U-M grads share Peace Corps experience in Peru
U-M graduates Nate Gire and Kelsey Kennedy, who in September started their Peace Corps assignment in Lima, Peru, are sharing their adventure in a blog, Peace in Numbers. Gire earned a political science degree from U-M in 2009, and Kennedy received a degree in psychology and women’s studies in 2010.
The blog chronicles the married couple’s work as they serve as health promoters in the 16th group of Peru Peace Corps volunteers. Gire and Kennedy arrived in Peru Sept. 16, and will train until Dec. 16.
