Passport Day Application Deadline

The Global Engagement U.S. Passport Grant Program is designed to provide financial and administrative support to students for the purpose of obtaining a U.S. Passport. A valid passport opens the doors for students to pursue valuable international experiences, including study abroad, internships, research, volunteer opportunities, competitions, and conferences.

The Global Engagement: U.S. Passport Grant application is open to available for all U-M students who meet the following criteria:

  • U-M undergraduate or graduate student
  • First-time passport holder

Should applications exceed available funding, priority will be given to first-generation college students, and Pell Grant-eligible students.

Applicants awarded the Global Engagement U.S. Passport Grant must be available to attend the Passport Day Workshop on January 15, 2025 (multiple time slots will be available throughout the day). Passport Day is a one-day event where the Washtenaw County Clerk’s Office will be on campus to process passport applications on-site.

The application deadline is Monday, December 9th, 2024.
