In continued partnership with U-M Recreation Sports, Global Engagement is pleased to announce another round of CPR/AED/First Aid training for eligible faculty, staff, and students at no cost to you. Please review the eligibility, registration, and course details below. The deadline to register for an in-person session is one week prior. CPR Training Eligibility
Faculty, staff, and students are eligible for this opportunity if they a) lead groups of students on U-M Related Travel abroad and/or b) conduct work in remote field sites abroad. Abroad here means outside the 50 states and Washington DC, and remote field work meets any of the following criteria:
CPR Registration Details
The CPR course is a blended learning format consisting of one 2-hour online training and one in-person training session at the Intramural Sports Building. You will need to complete the online session and submit proof of completion to Sarah Elgin (selgin@umich.edu) at least 72 hours prior to the in-person session or risk being removed from the training roster. We will send detailed instructions to those who complete this course registration form. Two in-person sessions are offered. You can only attend one, so please register for the session that best fits your schedule.

NOTE: Registration will be on a first-come, first-served basis with a limit of 20 per in-person session.
CPR Course Details
The Adult First Aid/CPR/AED course incorporates the latest science and teaches students to recognize and care for a variety of first aid emergencies such as burns, cuts, scrapes, sudden illnesses, head, neck, back injuries, heat and cold emergencies and how to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies to help adult victims (about 12 years and older). Students who successfully complete this course will receive a certificate for Adult First Aid/CPR/AED valid for two years.
