Students, faculty celebrate Chinese New Year at Power Center

The University of Michigan’s Chinese New Year Gala attracts more than 1000 people every year, offering the opportunity to celebrate Chinese New Year in Ann Arbor and enjoy Chinese culture through a variety of performances. This year’s program included skits, demonstrations of Chinese martial arts, and traditional and modern dancing and singing, ushering in a Year of the Rabbit, which began Feb. 3. (2010 was year of the Tiger). The evening was organized by  the Chinese Students and Scholars Association (CSSA).
